ESOP CULTURE – EMPLOYEE OWNERSHIP

ESOP stands for Employee Stock Ownership Plan. It is a qualified retirement plan, similar to a profit sharing or a 401(k) plan, except that the investment in the ESOP is the company’s stock. In 1998, Windings Inc. formed an ESOP for a planned purchase and transition of Company stock to the employees of Windings. The higher sense of responsibility that comes with employee ownership has made us even more responsive to customer needs and encourages innovation to bring greater value to our customers. In 2008, we became 100% employee-owned.
